The Caroline Wambui Mungai Foundation (CWMF) is a 501(C)3  not-for-profit tax-exempt organization registered in New York and in Kenya, and has established a home and school for orphans and vulnerable children in Wangige, Kenya.

Please look through our Web site to learn more about the work we do and how you can help brighten the lives of orphan children.

Origins

Caroline was born on September 17, 1979 in Nairobi, Kenya. She was in her first year at Adelphi University, Long Island, New York pursuing her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Her dream was to become a teacher and eventually desired to start a school to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

During the short time that she attended Adelphi, she demonstrated her love and passion for teaching young children. She believed that she could apply herself to steering children without hope to their destiny.

Caroline was often heard saying "children are the most adorable, lovable and innocent beings on earth. One can make them or break them by how you handle and treat them." CWMF is a memorial tribute to Caroline Wambui Mungai who believed that “every child should be given an opportunity to succeed.”
